Product Overview
The Viesa Holiday X is an evaporative air conditioner, rather than a conventional compressor air conditioner. It uses water, airflow and evaporation to create a much cooler feeling inside your caravan while using very little 12V power. How it works1. Water is pumped onto the evaporative filterThe Holiday X has a water reservoir. A small pump distributes water across a specialised evaporative filter.2. Outside air is drawn through the wet filterThe unit draws fresh outside air through the wet filter. As the water evaporates, it absorbs heat from the air.3. Cooler air is blown into the caravanThat cooled air is then blown through the interior of the caravan. The evaporation process can significantly reduce the perceived temperature, particularly when the air is dry. 4. Your body also cools more effectivelyThis is an important difference from normal air conditioning. Viesa isn’t primarily trying to turn the whole caravan into a refrigerator. The cooler, moving air helps moisture evaporate from your skin, removing heat from your body — similar to the cooling sensation you get from a breeze. Why you leave a window/roof vent openThis is very important.Unlike a conventional air conditioner, you don’t seal the caravan when using the Viesa. You leave a window, door or roof vent slightly open so that fresh air can enter and an equivalent amount of air can escape.Viesa recommends at least a small opening, with the required opening increasing as you increase the fan speed.
It consumes only 1.29 amps per hour.
Yes you can!
Absolutely! This is what it is made for as its 12v
Yes it does
Yes it does.
Yes, however, depending on the size of the caravan is how fast it will cool it.
Approximately 1 litre per hour. A little more on high speed and a little less on low speed
Yes you can!
Suitable for all caravans however smaller will work better. Other good options are to have the air-conditioning unit close to your bed to direct vents onto you when sleeping
Traditional air-conditioning units are refrigerated which are fantastic in their own right however they require 240v power where the Viesa Holiday X is 12v which runs from your battery and solar panels, consuming just 1.29 amps per hour.
Yes! this is a very common option. Using the refrigerated airconditioner when 240v power is available, and using Viesa Holiday X evaporative air conditioner when you don't have access to 240v
